A key focus of this Planning Board meeting was initiating the process for Needham to regain compliance with the MBTA Communities law. The Board took a significant step by voting to advance the zoning outlined in the Base Compliance Plan to the Annual Town Meeting in May. Additionally, Town Counsel briefed the Board on the state’s new regulations, which restrict municipalities from regulating accessory dwelling units within single-family residences.
