The Needham School Committee met on May 19th with a lengthy agenda scheduled. Committee Members kept things moving along throughout the night, eventually ending 30 minutes ahead of schedule. That, however, did not take away from their agenda items. Most notably, Committee Members heard from the Needham Education Foundation Co-Presidents and Board Members as they discussed the NEF Grants for the upcoming school year. After discussion, Committee Members voted to approve just over $91,000 in grants. Members also voted to approve the Elementary, Middle, and High School 2026-2027 Handbooks. They heard an update on the Pollard Middle School Schematic Design and discussed the Stephen Palmer Parcel Disposition. There was a presentation on the Sunita Williams Elementary School Improvement Plan as well as a Student Advisory to the School Committee Update. Committee Members also updated the Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan.
