Needham Town Meeting, 5/12/25


The final evening of the Needham Town Meeting was one filled with discussion and debate over financial control, opportunity and world issues. Starting with the Special Town Meeting warrant, early debate centered on the implementation of a new program that would allow residents over 60 to pursue alleviating some of their tax burden through work for the town. Another unexpected source of debate was an article establishing a mechanism for collecting and spending rebates on energy efficiency and environmental incentives. The view only got larger from there as Town Meeting debated initiating a ban on black plastics and even nuclear disarmament. This session is currently available for streaming in the window below:
