Graduation on the Needham Channel

The first week in June may typically be filled with a lot of pomp and circumstance, but COVID-19 has changed the way things are going to be handled this year. We are really fortunate in that the Needham Channel has a chance to honor the Class of 2020 in a new way, helping to bring them together to celebrate this milestone. The action will begin on Wednesday, June 3rd, when we air and stream the NHS Class Day video on our Community Channel (Comcast 9, RCN 15, Verizon 29), Education Channel (Comcast 8, RCN 3, Verizon 31) and HD Channel (Verizon 2129). Not in Needham? No problem! You can stream along from our Homepage. Just click on the “Watch Our HD Channel Here!” window and enjoy the show! We do it again on Friday, June 5th at 5pm when we’ll air the Needham High School virtual Graduation ceremony. You won’t want to miss the insights of the staff, students and administrators, and get a chance to “meet” the Needham High School Class of 2020. And on Sunday, June 7th, we’ll stake out a position along the Senior Parade route. If you don’t live along the route, but want to see the parade pass by, this is your chance to do it! Congratulations, Seniors! We know how hard it must be to miss the traditional trappings of this moment, but hopefully the uniqueness of these events, and the level of excitement the community shares with you over the next few weeks, will guarantee a memorable, meaningful experience!
