The Needham Channel

Your Town…Your Neighbors…Your Television!

Think You Might Run?

Ever think you could do something really good for your community? Running for public office is a phenomenal way to have your voice heard, be proactive about what you believe in, and contribute to society in a truly meaningful way. The “how-to” of getting started, of mounting a campaign, and even just figuring out if the move is right for you can be confusing, and even a little intimidating. The Needham League of Women Voters held a special workshop on January 10th laying it all out for those who are tempted by the thought of running. It was a thoughtful and informative way to explore a start in local politics. We are debuting our coverage of the event on Thursday, January 13th and will run the program through the nomination period for the town’s spring election. The first week’s schedule is as follows:

Thursday (1/13) at 8pm, Saturday (1/15) at 2pm, and Tuesday (1/18) at 2pm
