Needham Planning Board, 4/2/24

It was Planning Board member Jeanne McKnight’s final meeting, and it was one to remember. Two extensive public hearings were held. The first dealt with a possible change to how the town calculates it’s Floor/Area Ratio, which proponents hope would affect the size of future houses in town. The second was a public hearing on expanding and improving the high school tennis courts. Needham Farmer’s Market, Inc.and Town of Needham, Petitioners.
Request to permit the operation of a farmers market on a small portion of the Town Common and Garrity’s Way.

2) Board of Appeals: April 24, 2024

3) Public Hearing: Citizen’s Petition/Amend Zoning By-Law – Dimensional Regulations.

4) Public Hearing: 609 Webster Street

Town of Needham, Petitioner.
Request to renovate Four existing tennis courts, add four new tennis courts, install stormwater management improvements, ADA accessible walkways, and landscape improvements.

5) Planning Board Recommendation: Article 18: Amend Zoning By-Law – Affordable Housing District.

6) Vote to change HONE composition: Convert Planning Board member designation to Planning Board appointee designation.
