Needham Planning Board, 7/28/26

If you have ever had trouble finding a parking space at the BID-Needham hospital, there may be good news on the horizon. At the Planning Board meeting on July 28th, they approached with a plan to expand their valet parking lot by repurposing two properties on Oak Street. Received favorably by the board, it was still not so simple an endeavor, as the neighborhood sought assurances that the lighting, fencing and hours of use wouldn’t become a detriment. Similarly the town wanted to make sure the plans remained flexible enough to accommodate the changes being brought on by the establishment of an MBTA Quiet Zone. In other business, a new indoor golf start-up still has some research to do before the Planning Board feels it can comfortably green-light the zoning. The initiative had members asking what exactly constitutes a video game.
