Zoning Board of Appeals, 12/14/23

There was plenty to be discussed when the Zoning Board met for their December meeting, but all eyes were cast toward the continued hearing around 1688 Central Avenue. The board heard from both sides, and set the table for their continued deliberations in January. The meeting is currently available for viewing in the window below:

Case #1 – 30 Wilshire Park
The owners have applied for a Special Permit Amendment to alter, enlarge and extend a pre-existing, non-conforming single-family to allow the demolition of an existing deck and stairs and replace it with a basement and a family room above. The property is located in the Single Residence B (SR-B) District.

Case #2 – 460 Hillside Avenue
Dish Wireless, LLC, applied for a Special Permit to install as part of their wireless telecommunications network some of the following equipment: 3 antennas, 6 remote radio units, 3 junctions boxes, 3 fiber cables, and 3 power cables. The property is located in the Industrial (I) District.

Case #3 – 320 Grove Street
The owners have applied for a Variance to seek zoning relief to allow side setbacks of no less than 15 feet where 25 feet are allowed due to unusual soil, shape of topography of the land. This request is associated with the demolition and reconstruction of an existing non-conforming single family home. The property is located in the Single-Residence A (SRA) District.

Case #4 – 1688 Central Avenue
Holly Clarke, Gregg Darish, Robert DiMase, Matthew and Nicole Heideman, Carl Jonasson, Ann and Peter Lyons, and Eileen Sullivan applied to the Board of Appeals for an Appeal of Building Inspector Decision (ABID) of Building Permit BC23-10079 issued to Matt Borrelli and Needham Enterprise LLC dated September 19, 2023, for the construction of a childcare facility. The ABID concludes that the Building Permit plans on file do not demonstrate that the construction, alteration or use as proposed complies with the Zoning By Laws as limited by the Dover Amendment MGL 40A, Section 3 The property is located in the Single-Residence A (SRA) District.
